No experience is needed. You'll learn all dog sledding basics before departure, and your guide will assist during the trip.

Season and Conditions

Season: September to April

We start with cart tours in late September, and as soon as we have enough snow, we switch to sleds.
The start of sled season depends on the weather – sometimes as early as November, other years later.‍

Duration: 2.5–3.5 hours including preparation and campfire break

Group size: 6–12 guests per tour

What to Wear

Dress warmly – it’s always better to be too hot than too cold.

Wear wool underwear and several layers (avoid cotton).
We recommend wool socks, hat, gloves, and warm shoes.
We have a limited number of outer suits available to wear over your own clothes for extra protection and warmth.
Bring sunglasses or goggles if the weather is sunny or windy.

Safety Instructions

Your safety and the dogs’ wellbeing come first. Before every tour, we go through a full safety briefing and practice session.
Here are the key rules to remember:

Dog Sledding Basics

Keep one hand on the handle at all times.
Keep one foot on the brake when stopped.
Use the mat to control speed – more pressure means slower speed.
Steer with your body – follow the movement of the sled.
Keep distance: stay about 5 meters behind the sled in front.
Help the dogs uphill by kicking behind the sled to keep momentum.
Check the lines – if dogs cross or step over their lines, stop and help if needed.

You’ll learn all of this before departure, and your guide will assist during the trip.

Photography and Mobile Use

We know you want to capture the moment, but please limit camera and phone use during the ride.

For safety reasons, there are moments when photography is not allowed – the guide will let you know when it’s safe.
There will be photo stops during the tour.
The best memories are often made when you focus fully on the dogs and the experience.

Dog Welfare

Our huskies are at the heart of everything we do.
They love to run, but they’re also smart – they only pull as hard as they need to.
We help them uphill or in deep snow to keep a steady pace.
We keep small groups to ensure the dogs get attention and rest.

Even if you can’t see the team in front of you, don’t worry – your dogs know the trail well, and your guide will always wait ahead.
