Terms and Conditions

You must read this before booking a tour with Hasselberg Husky.

1. General Information

Our tours are operated by Hasselberg Husky AS, located in Reisadalen, 9154 Storslett, Norway.

By booking and participating in any of our tours, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Price and Booking

  • Adults: NOK 2,500
  • Children under 12: NOK 1,800

Children are defined as guests under the age of 12.

We do not recommend participation for children under 3 years, especially during the coldest months.
Participation of children under 3 will only be considered for safety reasons.

Prices may change slightly between seasons.

Availability depends on weather, existing bookings, and group size — we will always do our best to offer your preferred tour.

3. Season

Our season begins in late September with cart tours.

When there is enough snow, we switch to sleds — usually between late October and mid-November.

The season continues until the snow disappears, normally in late April.

4. Practical Information (Sled Tours)

  • Normally two people per sled.
  • Both guests will get the chance to drive, switching halfway through.
  • It is possible to book a single sled for an additional NOK 500.
This must be booked in advance, as it reduces overall capacity.
  • Single sleds are not available on standard deals.

5. Practical Information (Cart Tours)

  • Each cart tour can include up to 4 adults and 2–3 children.
  • Single cart is not possible, but some guests may drive solo depending on weight and size for balance and safety reasons.
  • All standard packages are available as both cart and sled tours.

6. Participation Requirements

  • Clothing must be appropriate for Arctic weather.
If a participant is not dressed safely, we reserve the right to cancel participation for security reasons.
  • We recommend wool layers and warm outerwear; we have a few outer suits available for loan.
  • Each participant must bring a headlamp (or request one from us in advance).
  • Our tours require active participation — guests must be able to stand, balance, and assist the dogs uphill.
Moving around in cold conditions can be physically demanding.
  • Please inform us before booking if you have health issues or physical limitations that may affect your participation.

7. Safety and Responsibility

  • We always begin each tour with safety instructions and training.
  • You must follow the guide’s directions at all times.
  • Participation is at your own risk.
  • Hasselberg Husky takes no responsibility for personal belongings, cameras, or electronic devices damaged by weather or use during the tour.
  • We will always do our best to prevent accidents and injuries, but nature and animals can be unpredictable.

All guests must treat our dogs and other participants with respect.

If someone behaves irresponsibly or violates safety rules — putting others, the dogs, or the guide at risk — we reserve the right to end the tour without refund.

8. Dog Welfare

Our Alaskan huskies are well trained, social, and love to run.

Guests will harness and unharness their own dogs with help from the guide, as this helps the dogs get comfortable with you before the ride.

We always operate in small groups and adapt the pace to the dogs’ wellbeing.

9. Insurance

Any accident, injury, or damage caused by the organizer or guide is covered by our insurance and will not be charged to participants.

Guests are responsible for their own travel and personal insurance.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and participating in a tour with Hasselberg Husky AS, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
